Partnership with Eureko - Areas of operation - Operations carried out
PARTNERSHIP WITH EUREKO
Magico has always been a synonym environmental sustainability with the search for treatment solutions giving the maximum possible reduction of the amount disposed, an increase of the recycled elements and offering the customer and the environment firm advantages. A true concept of environmental economy which sees co-operation with the Eureko, a recovery plant in Peschiera Borromeo (Milan) as offering one of the most effective syntheses. Magico is responsible for co-ordinating all the operational and commercial stages of the Eureko plant, offering customers one of the most effective solutions in terms of treatment of land for reclamation - SOIL WASHING. This technology is strongly geared to the ability to recycle the inert elements that can be used, a real source of natural raw material snatched from waste.
SOIL WASHING
Soil washing means a process of washing contaminated land, usually from abandoned industrial areas or those being left, based on physical and/or chemical mechanisms with the aim of separating the different matrices making it up, concentrating the polluting substances into the finest part (lime and clays).
THE EUREKO PLANT
The plant was built in 2006 and has a total surface area of 3600 m2. It basically consists of a wet washing cycle of the material with cyclonic separation, flotation, attrition and separation by size for the elimination of the fine material and the recycling of the larger particles which can be used. All the surface of the installation has been made impermeable (there is an HPDE sheet under the concrete platform) and it is fitted with collection systems for any rain water.
The Eureko process is closed circuit, i.e. the water used in the process is re-used.
Treatment potential is 90-110 ton/hr.
